SUMMARY:Sturgeon Bay Jaycees Announce Christmas Lighting Contest
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:Sturgeon Bay Jaycees Announce Christmas Lighting Contest
The Sturgeon Bay Jaycees is bringing back the famous Christmas Lighting Contest. This event is done to recognize those community members who bring out the spirit of Christmas.
The Sturgeon Bay Jaycees will be accepting nominations for homes that are exteriorly decorated. A list will be compiled so the community can judge along with the Jaycee members, their friends and families. Nominations can be mailed to PO Box 284 Attn: Nikki Voight, emailed to Sturgeonbayjaycees@hotmail.com or a message can be left for Nikki Voight at 495-9733. Be sure to include the complete street address to be considered. Nominations must be made for houses within the city limits due to fuel costs & time constraints. Nominations can be made by anyone. Nominations deadline will be Friday, December 15, 2012. This event is a wonderful way to compile all of those people who took the extra time to decorate. The list will then be made available to the public. Routes can be mapped out by families giving them a chance to make some memories. Watch the Door County Advocate for more information.
The Sturgeon Bay Jaycees is part of a worldwide network of young adults whose mission is “To provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change”. They accept membership for persons between the ages of 21-41. For more information about JCI Sturgeon Bay, contact Joanne Whipple, 920-559-2882.
