Northern Door Health & WellnessMinistry continues its Community Health Information Programs with an upcoming presentation on “Recent Changes and Future Plans Regarding Transportation in Northern Door County” to be held on Sunday, May 18, at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Sister Bay.
Since January of 2012, Northern Door County has had public transportation services available to its residents through Door 2 Door transit. Door 2 Door is a shared-ride taxi service, which is wheelchair accessible and anyone can ride. In addition, Door Tran is a creative community network, dedicated to connecting people to transportation services that are affordable, available and accessible.
Door 2 Door and Door Tran continue to enhance their transportation services to Northern Door County to better serve the Northern Door Communities. Come hear Pam Bush, Door Tran Coordinator, discuss these updates, changes and future plans at the next CHIP Program.
Also, don’t forget that Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry also offers free blood pressure screenings at the Fish Creek YMCA on the second Tuesday of the month from 8:15 am to 10:15 am and at the monthly Loaves & Fishes Meal held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Rosalia Church - Stella Maris Parish in Sister Bay beginning at 5:00 pm.
