Preserving our Rural Heritage, One Building- One Board- One Story at a Time

Agricultural Heritage & Resources Inc. a not-for-profit dedicated to “Preserving and Promoting our Rural Heritage, Past, Present and Future”, is hosting a three day conference on June 6-8, 2014 at Heritage Farm, five miles South of Kewaunee, on State Road 42.

Nine years ago, AHR Inc, hosted a barn workshop at our site.  It was a great success.  Sadly, we still have lost over two hundred barns, and many other historic structures, just in Kewaunee County alone since then.

Knowing we will not be able to save many of the ones that still define our rural heritage, we are bringing some of the best presenters to this conference to help those who want to save, reuse, and protect important part of our agrarian heritage.

This Partnership between AHR Inc., UW Extension and the Kewaunee County Historical Society, is excited to bring experts in all aspects of preservation,  including Suzi Parron, Nancy Schumm-Burgess, and Mike Woodford, who have done so much through their books, work and efforts to help save and promote our rural heritage.
