The Namur Belgian Heritage Foundation will be having a waffle breakfast on Sunday, June 29th from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Belgian Heritage Center, 1255 County Road DK, Brussels (the former St. Mary of the Snows Church in Namur). The “all you can eat” breakfast will include waffles, trippe (a Belgian sausage), eggs, potatoes and a beverage.
The cost of the breakfast will be $8:00 for adults, children ages four through ten – $4.00, and three & under – free. Proceeds from this event will help support the Belgian Heritage Center and its mission of preserving and promoting the unique Belgian culture, history and architecture of this area.
In keeping with this mission, there will be someone available to scan historic photographs from the Belgian community. With each photograph the owner should include as much identifying information as possible, including names of people, location, and the approximate year. Digital copies of these photographs will become part of the Belgian Heritage Center’s collection and may be used for the center’s displays as well as genealogical and historical research.
