Please bring baskets or bags for children, as none will be provided.

Hip Hop Gang Egg Hunt at Peninsula State Park

FISH CREEK - Join the Peninsula State Park Naturalist on Saturday, April 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. for a bit of egg-ercise at the White Cedar Nature Center. The "hip hop gang" has hidden a few eggs along the nature trail. Can you find them? This program starts with a ten-minute talk about bunnies, how real rabbits survive, and ends hoppily with an outdoor "hunt." Designed for kids ages ten and younger, older kids and gray hares are welcome to join the fun (tweens & teens can help hide eggs during the talk). This  program focuses on outdoor fun, with a limited number of eggs per child (and even some with prizes other than candy!). Wear boots as the 1/4-mile trail may be muddy. The program is free but a state park vehicle sticker is required. If you need additional information or would like to help "pack" eggs ahead of time, contact Kathleen.harris@wisconsin.gov> or phone Peninsula at 868-3258.
