There's a lot more happening at Peninsula State Park than just a new Eagle Tower. The park is currently seeing five separate construction projects all underway to be completed before the beginning of the busy summer season that typically starts in May. Several projects are improvements at different camp sites within the park according to Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Birkholz.
The flurry of activity will be highlighted at a ground-breaking ceremony for the nature center on October 30th. Peninsula State Park features the busiest campground in the DNR system. The facilities date back to the 1950's.
