New Technology Can Help Students Cheat On Tests

As long as there are tests, students will try to find a way to cheat. Mobile devices have added another wrinkle.

Students in a southern Wisconsin school district were given a second exam after it was rumored that images of the exam were sent to other students over cell phones – and that has prompted that district to now collect phones during test times.

High School Principal Bob Nickel explains the policy in Sturgeon Bay schools.

Nickel says teachers are working hard to keep up with developing technology.

Nickel says the fact that there are apps that can be legitimately used for educational purposes during the day complicates the situation.
