Door County’s faith community will join together to build a Habitat For Humanity home in 2014. In keeping with Habitat for Humanity’s Christian foundations, individuals and churches will concentrate on helping a deserving family of four to build their home just east of Egg Harbor. Rick Nelson from Habitat for Humanity talks about the church involvement.
The Faith Builds project, will kick things off with a dinner program, tonight (Saturday), at 5:30 at the Stella Maris church in Baileys Harbor. Nelson tells us about the event.
Individuals and churches wanting to learn more about Faith Builds are encouraged to attend. The event is completely free of charge, but a free will offering will be taken. Construction of the Faith Builds home will begin in early May. The new home should be ready to move into by early fall, with a house dedication scheduled for Monday, October 6th.
