Two road maintenance projects will make travel through Sturgeon Bay a bit slower starting Monday.
In a short-term project, crews will be sealing the decks on the Oregon and Michigan Street bridges Monday and Tuesday. The Oregon Street Bridge is scheduled to be closed Monday from 6 a.m. to noon. The Michigan Street Bridge is scheduled to be closed Tuesday from 6 a.m. to noon. The bridges will also be closed to pedestrian traffic during those hours. Marine traffic should not be impacted.
An eight-week project involving a seven-mile stretch of highway 42/57 also starts Monday. Jeremy Ashauer of the Department of Transportation says you can expect traffic restrictions from the south intersection of 42 and 57 to just before the Bayview Bridge.
Ashauer says the barrels will go back out after 8 on Sunday night.
This project also includes a change in the way northbound 42 merges with 57. Road work is expected to last until late September.
