Southern Door High School agriculture teacher Jeanna James has been selected by the National Association of Agricultural Educators as Wisconsin’s Outstanding Young Member. Winners of the award are agriculture teachers who have been teaching for less than six years and have demonstrated achievement in agricultural education. NAAE Communications and Marketing Director Julie Fritsch explains the great work James has done at Southern Door High School.
In addition to her work with the competitive DuPont National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Program, James has worked hard to integrate her agriculture curriculum with her students' other classes. It's something Fritsch and the NAAE noticed.
James will be honored at the NAAE Convention in November.
