Governor Walker approved funding for pavement marking improvements earlier this week at five Wisconsin airports, including Door County Cherryland Airport in Sturgeon Bay. The aid package, worth $7,264, will help repaint the numbering on threshold and center markings and the numbers on the runways and taxiways. Airport Director Keith Kasbohm explains why he requested the funds for Door County Cherryland Airport.
Despite the project, Kasbohm believes it will be able to handle normal air traffic in and out of the airport with one minor adjustment.
The project is expected to start at the end of August.
