The Southern Door County School District is inviting the general public to learn more about public school funding at the Southern Door High School Library this Wednesday evening. The interactive simulation, Investing in Wisconsin Public Schools, will allow participants to understand why school aid differs in Door County compared to other counties in the state. District superintendent Patricia Vickman explains one of the issues specific to Door County.
The simulation was developed by many organizations including the Wisconsin School Boards Association and the Wisconsin School Business Professionals. Vickman talks about what she hopes participants will take away from the experience.
The event runs from 5-8 p.m. and is free to the general public to attend. Call the Southern Door County School District Office by Tuesday to register.
