The Sturgeon Bay Board of Education has a special meeting Wednesday to go about the business of finding a new member. The board will be conducting interviews with the six people who applied for the open seat on the board: Mike Barry, Bob Loss, Chris Neuville, Dan Powell, Jacob Schultz and Dick Stuewer. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room. The agenda indicates members are expected to make a decision on the position before adjourning. The board has had a vacancy since Steve Van Kirk resigned earlier this year.
--In other news from the Sturgeon Bay School District, Superintendent Joe Stutting says the district will be seeking proposals for contracting bussing service.
