Along with the rest of the Door County schools, Sevastopol received new guidelines for their lunch program going into the new school year. In an attempt to make school lunches healthier for the students, the food has been altered from what it has been in recent years. Head of the lunch staff, Chris Brauer, has had to adjust to the changes the new policies have forced her to make.
Brauer also says that it takes a lot of time to put the schedule together because she has to count calories for each student in addition to keeping track of how much protein and grains are served per week.

The students have noticed the changes as well. Senior Max Wilson understands the reason for the differences.
The lunch staff at Sevastopol will continue to try to adjust to the new lunch policies in an attempt to give the students at Sevastopol a warm, healthy meal.
