Oh Deer. Camper, Buck Collide

A Greenleaf man harvested an 8-point buck the hard way Friday evening in Door County.

The Door County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Thomas Richart was towing a camper northbound on Hwy 42/57 near the intersection with County Road PD shortly before 7 p.m. when a deer jumped between the truck and the camper. The buck broke through the front of the camper and its body ended up inside the camper with its head coming out of a door on the side of the trailer.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the camper was brand new and this past weekend was going to be the first time it was used.
