Members of Sturgeon Bay's City Council Tuesday will decide whether to move ahead with plans for improvements along Egg Harbor Road near Walmart, including sidewalks, a storm water management pond and a drainage system.
Baudhuin Inc. has presented a proposal to the city for $39,937. The contract would include field work, conceptual designs for sidewalk and storm sewers, a preliminary drainage analysis -- including a proposed regional pond location south of the Neighborhood Pub, public involvement, grant applications and preliminary plans.
Funding for the work was included in the city's 2012 Capital Budget, with a total of $65,000 budgeted for engineering and design.
Baudhuin, which would team with Donohue & Associates on the project, has worked on several previous projects in Sturgeon Bay, including the Jefferson Street Streetscape, WireTech Redevelopment and Sturgeon Bay Industrial Park.
Tuesday's Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. or immediately following the Board of Public Works meeting which starts at 6 p.m.
