Denmark Man Injured After High-Speed Chase

A 27-year-old Denmark man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing what authorities say was a stolen vehicle on Highway 41 in Outagamie County.

It happened shortly after 5 p.m. Friday near Kaukauna.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says a trooper initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on Highway 41 southbound near County Highway U but the man accelerated, triggering a chase that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph.

The man crashed on Highway 41 near Highway J. He was initially unresponsive but gained consciousness after two troopers and a first responder performed CPR. He was then taken to Theda Clark Medical Center.
