Public Hearing Tuesday On Door County Budget

On Tuesday, Door County residents will get the chance to put in their two cents on the county's proposed 2013 budget.

A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Door County Government Center.

The $22.8 million spending plan would have a tax levy of $13.6 million and a tax rate of $3.55 per thousand dollars of equalized value. The budget document can be reviewed here.

The County Board will hold its annual budget meeting immediately following the public hearing.

The yearly meeting of the Door County Fair Association is also scheduled for Tuesday. That'll begin at approximately 11 a.m. in the County Board Room.
