HELP is looking for 5 people to be available twice a year to help with our bulk mailings. Letters can be stuffed at home or in our office. AseraCare is looking for volunteers to offer a hand to hold, a listening ear, and open hears to hospice patients in need. Give the amount of time you are able to. Training is provided. Even though their office is located in Green Bay, they have patients throughout Sturgeon Bay and will come to you to do training. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult to make visits. Contact Ashley Ausloos, Volunteer Coordinator, 920-497-4672 or ashley.ausloos@aseracare.com.
If you have a few extra hours that you’d like to spend doing something that truly makes a difference, consider becoming a driver for the Meals on Wheels program. This program is bursting at the seams with home-bound seniors in need of a hot lunch delivered to their home. Deliver meals once a month or once a week. Not only is your mileage reimbursed, but your spirit is lifted as you provide a sense of value and security to an isolated older adult. Contact Christy at 746-2542 or DCSRC@co.door.wi.us.
