Thanksgiving is a time for families to gather and celebrate the things in life that they are thankful for and the traditions that define their families.
Students at Sturgeon Bay High School were very vocal about what they are thankful for and the different traditions that their families have over the holiday.
Freshman Tommy Hauser says he's excited to have a few days off to enjoy Thanksgiving and the company.
Tommy also says that his family has many traditions, including gathering around the dinner table for the annual feast.
Other students we talked to said that they are thankful for many things, the most important being family.
One student tells us says her family has a rather unusual pre-meal ritual they call the "annual flying of the turkey," where they "help" the bird fly around the kitchen before it makes its appearance on the kitchen table.
