Snow Blankets Peninsula

Door and Kewaunee County residents Sunday woke up to something they didn't see a whole lot of last winter.

Snow.

Some spots, like Fish Creek, got 3 1/2 inches of the white stuff. Other snowfall totals according to the National Weather Service were 2.2 inches in Ephraim, 1.8 inches in Forestville, 1.3 inches on Washington Island and 1.4 inches in Casco.

The November 25 snowfall is a stark contrast to last winter, when many areas of the Door Peninsula didn't receive a significant snowfall until January 12.
