Every high school has its own clubs and groups, and at Kewaunee High, a SPLAT is made by a group of outgoing students.
SPLAT (Students Promoting Leadership Among Teens,) is made up of students from grades 9-12. Their goal is exactly what the name states, to promote leadership among teens. Members of this group are picked by Kewaunee High School’s staff, as they see the students who make a difference in class.
Directed by Danielle Schroth and Kurt Flaten, these advisors hope to encourage student “leaders” to promote positive activity within the high school. This includes sportsmanship, manners, attitude, and everyday actions.
Whether it may be going to Leadership boot camps, or planning upcoming activities, SPLAT is always leading the way towards an even better outcome for the school.
These students are developing leadership to spread throughout Kewaunee High School which is why they are making such a big SPLAT.
