Hello, this is Adele Douglass, guest reporting for Door County Daily News and the Friends of Door County Libraries.
What greater gift for a friend, especially a child, than the Gift of Reading. Today I'm excited to tell you that you can find exactly the right selection for friends and family of all ages, there will be a Holiday Book Sale this coming Saturday in the basement of the library.
The sale will feature books for every taste and interest and all in good, giftable condition. In addition to children's books, there are some great non-fiction selections in current, even hot, topics such as history, biography, war, especially the Civil War, religion, and cook books.
The sale is Saturday, December 1 from 9 am to 1 pm. You are guaranteed to find gifts and great deals for book lovers and readers, or readers to be, of all ages and interests.
Finally a heads up about a children's party on Saturday, January 26 which will feature the Dr. Seuss character, The Cat in the Hat. More details about this fun event in a few weeks.
In the meanwhile I hope to see you Saturday, December 1 between 9 and 1 at the large Holiday Book Sale in the library basement.
