Sturgeon Bay Mayor Thad Birmingham tells DoorCountyDailyNews.com he plans to run for another term.
"I've enjoyed what I've done, I like working with the city staff. The more I interact with them the more I appreciate just how efficient and effective they are," says Birmingham.
The mayor's position and the odd-numbered aldermanic seats are up for election in April. Candidates can take out nomination papers starting on Monday.
Fifth District Alderman Joe Stutting and 7th District Alderman Bob Schlicht both tell us they'll run for re-election. We have a call in to District 1 Alderman Dan Wiegand.
The District 3 race is a bit unusual in that the incumbent not only won't be running again, he's not allowed to run again. Redistricting moved John Lodl from District 3 into District 2 so Lodl is not eligible to run again in District 3.
