A Green Bay-based scholarship organization is letting Door County high school seniors know that applications are now available online for scholarships that will be awarded for the 2013-2014 school year.
Scholarships, Inc. (http://www.scholarshipsinc.org/) makes awards to graduating seniors at the five high schools in Door County and the 13 high schools in Brown County, as well as offering scholarships for continuing students and returning adult students.
Last year, the organization awarded more than $500,000 to 316 students.
"If you're seeking any kind of scholarship aid, now is the time to act," said Joanne Angeli, Executive Director of Scholarships, Inc. "Many programs, including those administered by Scholarships, Inc., have deadlines as early as April, 05, 2013. Careful planning can improve your chances of receiving scholarship aid, potentially yielding hundreds or thousands of dollars toward the cost of a college education."
Founded in 1962, Scholarships, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides financially need-based scholarships to qualified individuals pursuing a college education.
