The Miller Art Museum is a jewel of our community, but in order to keep it that way, they need volunteers. Help at the reception desk, install new exhibits and assist with opening events. As a “thank you,” educational programming is offered to volunteers throughout the year. Contact Bonnie at (920) 746-0865 or bmam@dcwis.com.
The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is partnering with Travel Wisconsin in a program called “The Big Bundle Up,” a collection drive of new and gently used hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters and coats. This is the perfect time to clean out your closets and get much needed winter wear to people in our community. What a great way to volunteer and it hardly takes any time at all! Items may be dropped off at the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, 36 S. Third Avenue. Contact Brenda at (920) 743-6246 or vacation@sturgeonbay.net.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern WI is pleased to offer a site-based mentoring program at Southern Door Elementary School in Brussels! Adults are needed to provide mentoring and friendship to elementary students in grades 2 through 5 - and all they ask is ONE HOUR per week! As a Big Brother or Sister, you would meet with your "Little" once a week, during the school day, typically during lunch or recess. No other special skills are required, except the sincere desire to make a difference in the life of a child. Contact Patty O'Rourke at (920) 559-1250 or pattyo@bbbsnew.org.
If you enjoy being outdoors and seeing the beauty of Door County, the Door County Invasive Species Team has opportunities for you!
