
A 34-year-old Sturgeon Bay man was arrested on multiple charges, including strangulation and false imprisonment in connection with an incident that took place Sunday night at a residence on 3rd Avenue.
Sturgeon Bay Police say officers were dispatched to the residence around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a female being strangled. When they arrived, police encountered a 34-year-old man holding a knife. The man retreated to his room and locked himself inside. Officers escorted the female out of the residence to a safe area and then arrested the man without incident. He was booked at the Door County Jail on charges of strangulation, battery, false imprisonment, and disorderly conduct.
