It’s almost 2013…the “Year to Volunteer”. Sometimes it’s not that you don’t want to help, but that you just don’t know where to help. The Volunteer Center is here to help you find a meaningful volunteer opportunity that matches your interests. Our “Volunteer Guide” is available listing over 60 Door County agencies that need your help. Give us a call and we’ll send one out or you can pick one up the Volunteer Center office, Baylake Bank, Associated Bank, any Door County Library or your local coffee shop.
Love driving? Consider becoming a transportation volunteer for Unity Hospice! Drive hospice and palliative patients to their medical appointments. It's a great way to spend a few hours of your week while helping some individuals in our community maintain their independence. Mileage reimbursement is available. Everyone has aspirations of working out and getting in shape at the beginning of the year. Why not save that gym membership and get your workout in at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore! Crew volunteers are needed for pick-up and deliveries of donated items. Get a great work out, work with great people and do something great for your community by helping others in the efforts to recycle and reuse. Contact Leslie at (920) 743-2869 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the winter months, the Ephraim Historical Foundation needs assistance with winter newsletter mailings, annual report mailings, copying Sing-Along songbooks, and various administrative duties to get them ready for the season. If you miss the hustle and bustle of the office or just have a few hours to help out, consider joining this historic organization as they work to sustain the beauty of the Ephraim community. Contact Kevin at (920) 854-9688 or email@example.com.
