Students at Sturgeon Bay High School are preparing for their annual musical coming up in early February. The production this year will be The Sound of Music.
Sophomore Kate Scheer, who plays Sister Margaretta, says the story takes place in Austria during World War II...
Kate says the cast is working almost every night after school to perfect the timeless love story.
Some of the play's main characters are Captain von Trapp, played by Will Kitchens, Maria (Monica Depies), Liesel (Hannah Thiede), and Rolf (Erik Elliott).
Performances of The Sound of Music will take place in the Sturgeon Bay High School Auditorium and are scheduled for Friday, February 1 and Monday, February 4 at 7 p.m. with a matinee scheduled for Saturday, February 2 at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and will be available at the door.
