Algoma
The school board in Algoma has two, 3-year seats up for election April 2. Current board president, Barb Rodgers, is running to keep her seat but Dean Tenor will not run. Superintendent Ron Welch says Joann Schmiling Wiesner has filed papers to run for Tenor’s seat.
Kewaunee
In Kewaunee, three candidates are running for four open seats. Board clerk Sarah Schiller and Paul Kultgen have chosen not to run for re-election. Incumbents Dan Kassner, current board treasurer, will run for the same 3 year term and Kim Duescher has filed candidacy papers for another open 3-year seat. Brian Zuege will run for re-election in a 2-year position. Superintendent Joe Innis says if the fourth seat is not filled, the board would have to appoint someone to fill it for one year.
Luxemburg-Casco
Superintendent Pat Saunders says things will stay the same in Luxemburg-Casco after the election. Three school board seats are up, and incumbents Jodi Falk, David Delain and Linda Jonet will run uncontested.
