Door County is down to two finalists for the position of parks and airport director. One lives across the bay, the other lives across the state.
Door County Administrator Maureen Murphy says the two finalists are Erik Aleson of Peshtigo, the assistant parks administrator for Marinette County; and Joe Kerlin of New Richmond, the parks and recreation director for the City of New Richmond.
Murphy says she's "delighted" with the final two candidates for the position, held for many years by the late George Pinney and currently being handled on an interim basis by Door County Cherryland Airport manager Keith Kasbohm.
Murphy says the county received 25 applications for the job.
