Door County Administrator Maureen Murphy still plans a business trip to Washington Island, it's just going to be a bit later than originally planned.
The Washington Island Observer reports that Murphy's visit to the Island -- originally scheduled for mid January -- has been postponed until after March, when the ferry schedules will allow her to stay longer on the Island as a day trip.
Islanders are expected to meet with Murphy and other county officials to share questions and concerns.
Others expected to join Murphy on the visit are County Board Chair Dan Austad, County Planning Department Director Mariah Goode and County Board Member Ken Fisher.
Murphy has been county administrator since October 1, 2012.
