Wisconsin Public Television will be filming an episode of its popular "30 Minute Music Hour" live at the Holiday Music Motel in Sturgeon Bay.
Originally created in January 2008 by Andy Moore, long-time friend of the Holiday's pat mAcdonald, the program is dedicated to showcasing independent musicians from around the state and the country. Moore, until recently, has filmed the show in Madison, but decided to "take the show on the road" and looked to mAcdonald and the Holiday Music Motel as a venue for the inaugural touring episode. With a storied history highlighted by many notable artists, the Holiday Music Motel is no stranger to putting together musicians and the public.
There will be three groups performing: Paul Cebar (of Paul Cebar and the Milwaukeeans), a duo from Austin, TX – Loves It! and pat mAcdonald and melaniejane's duo Purgatory Hill. Each group will perform for about 30-45 minutes, but it will be edited down to roughly 30 minutes for airing.
melaniejane, marketing director for the Motel, explains about the decision to use the Motel lobby rather than their fully-equipped studio on the second floor…

Both mAcdonald and melaniejane feel using the lobby was an ideal choice to truly capture the spirit of the Holiday Music Motel…
The live taping of the "30 Minute Music Hour" is set for Saturday, February 2, and is scheduled to air sometime during March. To see past episodes of the show, and to learn more about the program visit: wpt5.org/programs/30-minute-music-hour.
