Saturday afternoon a machine shed was damaged by a fire in the Town of Nasewaupee. The Southern Door Fire Department responded to the call at 2:40 p.m. on Riley’s Bay Road. Captain Thad Tremble says the fire started while a snowmobile was being worked on, then spread to other parts of the 50’x100’ shed. The Brussels-Union-Gardner (BUG) Fire Department responded as mutual aid, a total of 14 units from both departments were at the scene. No one was injured and there is no damage estimate available at this time.
Tremble and his crew have been busier than usual lately.
In Kewaunee County, firefighters responded to large garage fire around 9 a.m. Sunday in the Town of Lincoln. Kewaunee County dispatch says no injuries have been reported yet and units from Luxemburg, Algoma, Kewaunee, BUG and Casco responded.
