Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home Sunday in the Town of Lincoln.
Kewaunee Fire Chief Lew Du Chateau says firefighters from his department and five others battled the blaze at the home on County Road S across the road from Susie's Place. The fire was reported Sunday shortly after 9 a.m.
Du Chateau says the fire started in the garage and then spread to the adjacent two-story home. In that way the chief says it was very similar in nature to a recent house fire in Duvall, which also started in the garage and spread to the home.
No injuries were reported.
Du Chateau says the owners were home at the time and were able to get out safely.
Assisting Kewaunee were fire departments from Casco, Algoma, New Franken, Brussels-Union-Gardner and Southern Door.
