There were a lot of angelic looking students Monday at St. Mary Catholic School in Algoma.
The students donned halos Monday as part of "Shining Light Day," one of the many specially-themed activities for Catholic Schools Week.
Principal Laura Krzysiak says inside the halos the kids included things that they're doing to "let their light shine" in the school and the community.
Krzysiak says all the week's special activities are designed to let students, parents and community members know that the focus of Catholic schools is not just on academics but on educating the whole child.
Some of the other activities this week include a trivia challenge, magic show, roller skating outing, and a community mass with "sister school" Holy Rosary School in Kewaunee.
St. Mary School is a Pre-K through 8th grade schools serving 63 students.
