There’s magic in the music at Birch Creek Music Performance Center! Birch Creek is one of America’s most prestigious summer music academies and this summer celebrates 38 years of quality instruction and exciting public performances that span over an eight-week period from June 27 through August 17 in Symphony, Percussion and Steel Band, and Big Band Jazz.
Mark your calendars now! As preparations continue for our 38th concert season, we are offering a sneak peek at some of the great things being planned for this summer at Birch Creek:
- Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, June 27. This promises to be an evening of “Great Beginnings” with the campus abuzz with familiar returning Symphony faculty members and concertgoers alike.
- The very popular “Birch Creek Associate Style Show & Luncheon” will be held at the Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor on Thursday, July 18th. This year you are encouraged to break out the “Baubles and Beads” as we partner with local businesses to reveal all that is new and fashionable in Door County attire! Tickets are $45 each and can be purchased by calling the Birch Creek office.
- The James Dutton Memorial concert will be held Saturday, August 17th. This annual event is dedicated to the memory and vision of Birch Creek co-founder, Jim Dutton, who with his wife, Fran, gave life to Birch Creek and its mission in 1976. Pre-concert music begins in the gazebo area at 7:30 and the concert begins at 8 pm. Tickets are $29 each for adults and can be purchased by calling the Birch Creek office.
All of our special events are posted and updated on the web as information becomes available. Visit us online often at www.birchcreek.org for all the details.
