This coming week writers from near and far will unite at the Holiday Music Motel in Sturgeon Bay for the 2nd Annual "Love on Holiday" songwriting quest.
The event is similar to the Steel Bridge Songfest, but on a much smaller scale. Motel Manager melaniejane says writers will arrive at the motel Sunday and divide into trios with the mission of writing and recording material on the theme "Songs of love…and love gone away". New this year, the writers will perform on Valentine's Day at the Golden Living Center and for the Boys and Girls Club's "Art for Health".
Throughout the week, "Love on Holiday" will stream live video of the recording sessions. The motel will post a schedule of the sessions on its website as it becomes available.

Friday the musicians will take their compositions to the Red Room for a 9 p.m. performance that is free and open to the public. Then on Saturday they will perform once again at a location that will only be announced via the Holiday Music Motel's Facebook page.
