
This week Governor Scott Walker says he's including almost $30 million in the next budget to support mental health services.
"This new investment will help the people of Wisconsin live healthier and more productive lives. Thankfully, our prudent budget decisions in the past helped generate a surplus which now allows us to invest in our priorities in the future," says Walker.

The Democrats want to strengthen BadgerCare by allowing the state to accept funding through the Affordable Care Act.
"Governor Walker has stated he will make his announcement during his budget address in the coming weeks. If he fails us, Democrats will be ready to go with the Strengthen BadgerCare Act," says Senator Jon Erpenbach.
