Seniors around the county only have three and a half short months before they receive their diplomas. With grades locked in and students accepted to the college of their choice, some seniors are starting to focus more on the future and less on their school work. This is most commonly known as “senioritis.”
Sturgeon Bay High School senior Alyssa Jones says that she is having a hard time dialing in on school work because her future plans are so exciting.
Classmate Michael Wolfe says that although it may be hard to focus right now, many schools check up on students to make sure they aren’t in a “Senior Slide.”
Many other seniors we talked to said that although they are having a hard time concentrating, they know how important their last semester of high school is.
