Weekly Addresses From Your Legislature

Governor Walker defends his decision not to accept federal dollars to expand Medicaid as part of a plan to help people become less dependent on the government.

"This plan safeguards Wisconsin taxpayers from unnecessary risk and builds on Wisconsin’s strong track record of providing affordable health care to our people, while protecting those who need help the most," Walker says.

"It should have been the easiest budget decision he could make -- good for Wisconsin taxpayers, good for economic security, and good for the health of Wisconsin citizens," Pasch says.
