The latest winter storm to hit the Peninsula has caused many area schools to call off classes Friday.
The following schools have cancelled classes for Friday:
-Gibraltar
-Sevastopol
-Southern Door
-Kewaunee
-Luxemburg-Casco
-St. John Bosco
-St. Peter's Lutheran
-Peninsula Christian
Other closings/cancellations:
-Sunshine House closed
-East Shore Industries in Algoma closed
-Door County Senior Resource Center:
Due to the inclement weather, and for the safety of senior participants and volunteers, the following portions of the Senior Resource Center programming are CANCELLED for today:
-Washington Island meal site
-Liberty Grove meal site
-Baileys Harbor meal site
-(Forestville meal site does not serve on Fridays)
-All Meals on Wheels home delivered meals in the Sturgeon Bay area
The following services are still OPEN today:
-Senior Resource Center building on N. 14th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay
-Senior Resource Center meal site in Sturgeon Bay – will serve lunch today
-Senior Center bus will operate in the Sturgeon Bay area for persons needing rides
Regular programming will resume on Monday, February 25, 2013.
-Door Community Auditorium has canceled this weekend’s scheduled programming. This includes the film screening Friday night as well as the lecture and Coffeehouse Concert Saturday.
-The Division 3 Regional Boys Basketball game, Sturgeon Bay at Brillion has been postponed tonight and will be made up tomorrow, Saturday, February 23 at 7:00 pm
-Gibraltar's boys regional game at Hilbert postponed to Saturday at 7 pm. Read more about it here
