Funeral services will be held Wednesday for the 13-year-old Brussels boy killed in a snowmobile crash on Friday.
The funeral for Brett Buhr will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27 at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of services.
Buhr was a 7th grader at Southern Door Middle School. A letter to parents from District Superintendent Patti Vickman is posted on the district's website informing them of the news and letting them know that grief counselors will be available at the school on Monday.
Authorities say while riding his snowmobile Buhr was hit by a truck while crossing County Hwy C near Swamp Road in the Town of Brussels Friday afternoon. He later died at a Green Bay hospital.
