Kewaunee Power Station Owners To Meet With NRC Officials

Representatives from the Kewaunee Power Station will meet with officials from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Tuesday to discuss a preliminary inspection finding in the emergency preparedness area of the plant.

Regulators and Dominion Energy Kewaunee Inc. officials will discuss the significance of the inspection finding, which the NRC says involved the failure to follow and maintain the effectiveness of the plant’s emergency plan. The NRC says the finding did not represent an immediate safety concern.

Tuesday's regulatory conference will take place in Lisle, Illinois.

The NRC says no decisions on any possible NRC actions will be made at the conference.
