The Algoma Optimist Club presents Sara Zacek in concert this Saturday, March 23 at the Algoma Elementary School Auditorium as the first of three concerts over the next two months.
Club member Ron Welch says the Optimists are always looking for ways to get involved in the community.
The opening acts begin at 7 p.m. and will include teachers from the Algoma School District along with a few students before Zacek performs what Welch describes as easy-listening tunes. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door and at the Algoma District Office in advance, the price is $3 for kids ages 3-11 and $6 for those age 12 and up.
The second and third concerts are scheduled for April 20, featuring Victoria Vox, and May 18, featuring the Oak Street Boys.
