Door Kewaunee Legislative Days are set for May 15 and 16 in Madison and residents can now register to be delegates. Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Jennifer Brown says it’s something that anyone can participate in.
Every two years a group of local residents meets with legislators and state officials in Madison to talk about issues and ideas generated in Door and Kewaunee Counties. Brown says a steering committee has been compiling suggestions on issues to bring up since January and will schedule the appropriate legislators and state officials or agencies to meet with the delegates.
The cost is $20 per delegate plus transportation and lodging for the two-day session. Those interested in participating can register at www.dklegislativedays.com, where there is also information about what came out of previous Legislative Days efforts.
