An Algoma man charged with stealing computers from the Sturgeon Bay Walmart is scheduled to appear in Door County Court Monday.
James Zima, 49, is charged with one count of felony retail theft and six counts of bail jumping.
Zima, formerly of Oshkosh, appeared March 31 before Judge Todd Ehlers, who denied a defense motion to reduce bail from $9,000. The remainder of his initial appearance was adjourned until Monday.
Zima was convicted in Winnebago County Wednesday on charges of retail theft and bail jumping. He faces similar charges in Brown County. Online court records also indicate numerous instances of issuing worthless checks in Kewaunee County.
Sturgeon Bay police were called to the Walmart on Egg Harbor Road March 21 and reviewed video footage that allegedly showed Zima removing several computers from the store.
