Kewaunee County high school students will get a taste of local government during the American Legion’s annual Youth Government Day. Legion member Lloyd Nimmer says eight students from each high school in the county will be selected to shadow an elected official on April 17.
Lunch will feature a presentation by Casco attorney Ellen Ronsman and then the students will get to put what they’ve learned into action.
Youth Government Day is facilitated by the five American Legion Posts of Kewaunee County. Anyone interested in observing the activities can call Nimmer at 388-2318.
