All Door County 911 calls are being routed through Brown County as of about 9 p.m. Thursday. According to a Facebook post from the Door County Sheriff's Department, the problem is being worked on.
The post also includes a comment from the Sherriff's Department explaining that Brown County officials will contact the department via cell phone until the glitch is worked out so it can continue to provide emergency services to Door County residents.
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is spreading the word on its blog, and both entities will share more information as it is available through Facebook.
