The Southern Door County School Board will share its plans to complete maintenance repairs and upgrades to the school through a general obligation bond with the community Tuesday.
Superintendent Patti Vickman says the district has recently reviewed its energy efficiency and found ways to improve it. The board approved an initial resolution Monday to authorize a bond not to exceed $1.125 million.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday in the high school library, the board will explain its decision followed by a presentation by performance contractor McKinstry and time for both parties to answer questions from the community.
After the hearing residents will have 30 days to petition the board if they feel the issue needs to be put to a vote.
